Australia’s favourite son is headed home, and he’s taking his mentor Mel B with him! To prepare for Monday night’s epic grand final, Jason Owen will be doing a whistle-stop tour of Albert and Dubbo.
To see Jason in action, catch his performance from 8pm Thursday November 15 at Dubbo RSL (Cnr Brisbane & Wingewarra Streets, Dubbo).
Jason, you’re going to Albert with Mel. What’s on the agenda?
Well I don’t even know what I’m doing. I’ve got no idea but it’s going to be very, very exciting to get back there and we’re going to have a lot of fun.
What would you like to show her?
Just Albert. Albert itself. It will really open her eyes to see where I’m actually from. It’s going to be awesome. I can’t wait.
What do you think the people of Albert will do when they see Mel B?
I think they’re going to be really excited to see her. It’s going to be amazing.
When you found out you were through to the grand final, talk us through the celebration.
When I got through, as everyone’s seen, I looked like I’d just gotten stung on the bum by something hot. I took off! I was so excited. It was amazing because I didn’t think I would get through in the top two last night.
How do you plan to celebrate once this is all over?
Well, I’m just going to go back for Christmas and we’re all going to have massive Christmas at my aunty’s place and it’s all just going to be a big party and we’re going to celebrate! It’s going to be great.
Tell us a little bit about your grand final competitors, Sammi and The Collective.
Samantha is incredible, and she’s going to be brilliant no matter where she goes or what place she comes. The Collective, well they’re The Collective. They’re just awesome as well. It’s great to work with those guys.Click here to support Jason and download his poster!
