Top 12 Answer the Call for ‘You Can’

Tonight, The X Factor’s Top 12 thrilled the nation with their live performance of Carly Rae Jepsen’s pop anthem “Call Me Maybe”. The hit song has now been released as a charity single available for download from iTunes right here: http://itunes.apple.com/au/album/call-me-maybe-sony-foundation/id562875932

All X Factor net profits go to Sony Foundation’s ‘You Can’ program to build specialised and age-appropriate youth cancer centres across Australia.

The Top 12 jumped at the chance to perform and record the charity single, a first for X Factor in Australia. According to judge and Sony Foundation ambassador, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, “The contestants had so much fun performing Call Me Maybe and they were delighted to be helping out young Australians with cancer. This is an important cause very close to my heart and I am so proud of them for lending their support.”

The catchy single is sure to have people across the country singing along with the The X Factor stars. Judge, Guy Sebastian said, “I am extremely impressed with the talent amongst the final 12 and their involvement with the Sony Foundation is a great experience for them. It is important at this early stage of their career to see the impact they might have one helping others and touching those in need.”

Sony Foundation CEO, Sophie Ryan said, “It is incredibly exciting to be part of this Australian first, X Factor charity single. Thank you to The X Factor for helping our young Australians battling cancer.”

Am very happy to hear that this is a studio single and not a live performance single unlike the other singles for release on iTunes. Good to see X-Factor giving back.

All the X Factor contestants except Bella and Adil were amazing, Bella needs to learn her lyrics and Adil needs to mature and not behave like a spoilt brat and sook. Shiane honey you are simply amazing with an amazing voice, go for gold!! Ronan you are the Best and make the heart flutter, Mel B what can I say my son and I we love you
