In 2019, CEO World magazine put together a list of the world's richest royals. Here are the top five.

The King of Morocco, Mohammed VI, is the fifth richest royal in the world, with an estimated net worth of $8.2 billion. The fourth richest royal was the former emir of Abu Dhabi and the President of the UAE, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed, who died last May with a net worth of $15 billion.

Salman of Saudi Arabia is the third richest royal in the world, with an estimated net worth of $18 billion. The King of Saudi Arabia has reigned since 2015 and is currently the world's oldest living monarch.

The second richest royal is the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, who has an estimated net worth of $28 billion. In first place is Thailand's King Rama X, with a net worth of $43 billion. Rama X has been reigning since 2016. And according to Fortune, his wealth has surged due to his 23% stake in Siam Commercial Bank and Siam Cement Group.
