Why won't Australians work in remote areas?

The continuing shortage of workers and tradespeople in remote areas has been confirmed by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland.

The lack of skilled workers is what has lead to the introduction of 457 visas for temporary skilled migration across all industry sectors.

Sunrise has received many emails, particularly from Queensland viewers, complaining that there is no work, whereas in many other parts of the country the shortage is in workers, not work.
