Hospital leaks Princess Kate details in Aussie prank

The hospital treating Prince William's pregnant wife Catherine admitted Wednesday it released her private medical details after falling for a hoax call from an Australian radio station.

Presenters from Sydney's 2Day FM station, posing as Queen Elizabeth II and William's father Prince Charles, got through to a nurse at private King Edward VII's Hospital in London, where Kate is being treated for acute morning sickness.

The hospital confirmed that a nurse discussed Kate's condition and said it "deeply regrets" the incident, which happened in the early hours of Tuesday, while the Australian radio station also apologised.

The hoax is deeply embarrassing for the hospital, which has also treated the queen, her husband Prince Philip and Charles' wife Camilla over the years. The queen is its patron.

"This was a foolish prank call that we all deplore," said the hospital's chief executive John Lofthouse.

Should this be simply taken as a joke or something more serious?

These 2 presenters did not put the rope around the nurse neck so there has to be somthing else for her to do this. So a simple phone call like this couldnot push anyone to hang

i am sick of hearing about this why cant we get passed it, we have no idea what was going on in her home life regardless of what has been reported so how do we know if she wasnt already suffering from depression or some other illness. ENOUGH ALREADY PEOPLE LET THE FAMILY GRIEVE AND GET ON WITH THERE LIVES AND LEAVE THE DJ'S ALONE

I am so sick of hearing about what our dj's did, It was not there fault they were put through. Also what about the hospital and the Queen herself?? How did they react?? Why are the dj's taking the fall out for this. The hospital would have ripped through her. I feel they are more responsible for the lady taking her life than our dj's are!!!!!!!!!!! What are they doing to support the family???? What is the Queen doing to support her family?????????????? It is just ridiculous that our poor dj's are taking all the fall out for this. IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT. I for one support our dj's.

where are the gutless faces of the rest of the staff from the radio station that were part of the programming of this stunt? where is their public support of their fellow colleges or are they happy to see them experience all this on their own ? let us see them face the public....these young people may have their careers ruined over this stunt however they were not alone and of course there maybe more to the story from the other side than we are hearing as well. Fate works in mysterious ways and no one could have predicted this outcome.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Lucinda. It is time to leave the young DJs alone and let justice takes its course and allow the family to grieve for their loved one.The DJs cannot be soley blamed for the tragic death. The production team must take responsibilty for the prank call going wrong. This affair just triggered the death but not the sole cause. As for the DJs they were probably told to do this call as part of their job and noone could have foreseen what was to happen.
