Study questions how much better organic food is

Organic products have no significant nutritional advantage over conventional foods, a new study finds.

Published Monday in the Annals of Internal Medicine, the study finds that organic produce has no more vitamins and minerals than conventionally grown produce.

"People choose to buy organic foods for many different reasons. One of them is perceived health benefits," said Dr. Crystal Smith-Spangler, who led the new study.

"Our patients, our families ask about, 'Well, are there health reasons to choose organic food in terms of nutritional content or human health outcomes?'"

Agree/disagree/thoughts? Do you pay extra for organic food?
