James Tobin

James is no stranger to television, having spent the past twelve years at Channel Seven. He's hosted everything from kid’s shows like Go Go Stop to the weekly entertainment program Eclipse Music Television.

Each weekend James hits the road, travelling to a different part of the country to deliver the all-important weather forecast and meet the locals. In May 2012 James competed in the gruelling Tour de Cure Road Race, pedalling some 1650kms over 11 days and sharing his weather reports with viewers. The 2012 Olympics sees James sharing his weather reports with the Sunrise audience all the way from the action in London.

As well as Weekend Sunrise, James reports for both Sunrise and The Morning Show. In 2008 James joined the top rating breakfast show to take on the role as Sunrise's Entertainment reporter. James’ interviews have included Hugh Jackman, Michelle Monaghan, Robert Downey Jnr, Kelly Clarkson, Dannii Minogue, Jack Black and The Foo Fighters.

Prior to joining Seven, James was one of Nickelodeon's brightest stars - hosting the Saturday morning show, sn:tv.

He started his media career in radio - working as a music researcher for the ARN Network before moving to Sydney's 2DAY-FM. His work was then heard around the country as part of Kyle and Jackie O's Hot 30.

James is also honoured to be an Ambassador for Father Chris Riley's Youth Off the Streets and the mental health initiative, Headspace. And yes, he came second in the 2010 Cleo Bachelor of the Year competition.
