Simon Reeve

Simon commenced his career at the Seven Network in Perth in 1979, working as both a sports producer and reporter. In 1982, he moved to London to take up a position with television news agency Visnews.

Before long, homesickness saw him return to Perth to join the current affairs program State Affair. His work gained him national acclaim and an offer to join the prestigious Beyond 2000 team in 1987.

Simon was a key part of the Beyond team for six years, traveling the world covering scientific breakthroughs and technical innovations. He went on to report for Seasons, Wild Life and Good Medicine. A passion for Africa inspired him and his family to spend two years living in Botswana.

He returned to Australia in 2001 to re-join the Seven Network, working for both Seven News and then Sunrise. He was a commentator for Seven's equestrian coverage at the Athens games and the gymnastics coverage at both the Athens and Beijing Olympics.

Today, Simon is Sports Presenter for Weekend Sunrise and in 2014, took on the role of ‘quizmaster’ for Channel Seven’s all-new quiz show Million Dollar Minute. He also hosts Seven’s top-rating police show The Force as well as kids’ program It's Academic.

Simon resides in the Gold Coast Hinterland with his wife and two children.

When not travelling the country for work, Simon remains obsessed with his beloved Africa and gets back there as often as he can.
