Congratulations, Margot Robbie!
Margot Robbie has won Best Actress in a Comedy for her career-best performance in I, Tonya.
The 27-year-old actress was shocked and on the verge of tears as the announcement was made at the Critic's Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
Her acclaimed, phenomenal performance as former Olympic figure skater Tonya Harding beat-out a particularly strong field of actresses including Jessica Chastain, Sally Hawkins and Meryl Streep.
Robbie recently revealed to ELLE Magazine her hopes of becoming a director rather than starring on camera.
“I still love acting,” she said. “But I’ve spent the last 10 years on a film set, and I realised that if I am pouring my heart and soul into a film, I want to be one of those voices in the conversation making decisions.”
She also spoke about her first career highlight, revealing that when she first visited New York, she spent her first paycheck at Tiffany's: "[I] walked straight into Tiffany's on Fifth Avenue, and bought an airplane charm that goes on my bracelet. It was the best feeling ever. I got my little blue box, and I got it for myself."
We're proud of you, Margot!
