Who has The X Factor?
The seventh season of The X Factor will witness a complete reimagining of the world’s most successful talent competition.
In 2016 the rules to find Australia’s next singing superstar have changed. Raw talent will be rewarded and evolved like never before. With live experience in front of a studio audience and expert mentoring from our judges, contestants are transformed into superstars.
This year, one of the most successful Australian artists of the past decade, rap superstar Iggy Azalea along with singer/songwriter and Queen front man Adam Lambert make their debut as judges. Azalea and Lambert are joined by The X Factor stalwart and only Australia male artist to achieve six number one singles, Guy Sebastian.
Open to both solo performers and groups 14 years and over, once The X Factor hopefuls make it past the initial audition process, the judges split performers into three categories Unders, Overs and Groups.
The ultimate winner is awarded a recording contract with Sony Music Australia.
The X Factor has proudly launched the careers of many successful Australian performers including Eurovision runner up Dami Im, Samantha Jade, Cyrus, Jai Waetford and Jess & Matt.
