Bec Hewitt played the much loved and missed Hayley Lawson. Back in the days, she and Noah were the ‘it’ couple. Bec has since quit acting, living a quiet life with her newly retired Tennis player husband, Lleyton Hewitt and beautiful children.
It was not too long ago that Kate Ritchie was on our screens as Summer Bay’s sweetheart, Sally Fletcher. In 2008 Kate decided she wanted a career change and began hosting the breakfast show alongside Merrick and Rosso on Nova 96.9 FM. She now hosts Nova’s drive show with Tim Blackwell and Marty Sheargold.
Dannii Minogue played Emma Jackson, Ailsa Stewart’s niece on Home and Away.
After leaving the bay, Danni hasn’t acted much since- but she’s been prominent in the Australian music scene and was one of the judges in our favourite talent show – X-Factor.
Bobby has had his time in the limelight on Australian soapies, including on Home and Away as heartthrob teen, Drew Curtis. He’s now one of the lead actors in hit TV series ‘The 100’.
We will always miss Isabel Lucas as young misguided Tasha Andrews. She and Robbie were #RelationshipGoals. Isabel now resides in the US of A and has worked on some pretty impressive projects, such as Transformers!
The talented Isla Fischer played Sally’s best friend, Shannon Reed for a number of years. She is now married to Borat – ok not Borat, but the man who played Borat, Sacha Baron Cohen, and has been in some of your favourite Hollywood comedies. Think Wedding Crashers, Bachelorette and Confessions of a Shopoholic!
The ever-hunky Ben Lucini stepped into the Summer Bay scene in 1990 and although he was only there for a short time, he definitely made an impact. He’s been our favourite demon on Charmed, and our favourite plastic surgeon on Nip/Tuck and has even hit the big screen since working on Home and Away all those years ago.
As soon as Darryl Braxton stepped into Summer Bay, heads turned and all eyes were on him, and it’s much the same in Hollywood. Steve is landing some impressive rolls in LA, including Whisky Tango Foxtrot and Me Before You – and in such short time! Will he be the new Chris Hemsworth? Only time will tell.
Ahh Guy Pearce. When you were introduced to us as David Croft in 1991 – we knew you were going to be someone big. Pearce is famous for his roles in Memento, L.A. Confidential, Iron Man 3 and Hurt Locker. Wow-ee! What a resume! And he’s now looking forward to becoming a new dad with Melissandre (Carise Van Houten) from Game of Thrones… we hope he doesn’t end up with a Shadow Baby!
Chris Hemsworth is famously known for his superhero roles in massive Hollywood Productions – which by the way, we couldn’t be prouder of him! But before he was Hollywood’s heartthrob, he was stealing hearts in Australia as the troubled teen, Kim Hyde. #NeverForget
