Meet your Cannonball hosts Tim Ross, Rachael Finch and Ben Mingay.

Ben Mingay is an actor, presenter, musician and international musical theatre performer.

Recently completing filming on Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge, Ben was last seen on television screens on Seven’s Home and Away playing Trystan Powell.

In 2012, he also appeared as Buzz for Channel Seven’s Packed to the Rafters and starred as Zack Mayo in the World Premiere production of An Offcer and A Gentleman.

2011 also saw Ben’s portrayal of Tommy DeVito in the award winning production of Jersey Boys at Sydney’s Theatre Royal, his first Australian performance since he took on the role of Billy Kostecki in the world premiere of Dirty Dancing in 2004.

In the same production, Ben played the same role in every English speaking production worldwide for almost six years, including the West End, Canada, Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles.

Originally a construction worker from Newcastle, Ben fell into classical music when he was dared to audition for the Conservatorium of Music by his mates.

He subsequently won a scholarship and went on to train in Opera Voice for several years – a twist of fate that dramatically changed his career path.

Born and raised in Adelaide, Tim is best known for his acting career and most recently appeared in Home and Away as the love interest of Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker).

After graduating from Victorian College of the Arts (ACA) Tim became an ensemble member of Red Stich Actor’s Theatre, performing in On Ego, Oh Well Never Mind Bye, Howie the Rookie, The Kitchen Sink, Stop Rewind and 4000 Miles. During this time, Tim made his Melbourne Theatre Company debut playing Laertes in Simon Phillips’ production of Hamlet, followed by MTC’s world premiere of Return to Earth, directed by Aidan Fennessy.

Having previously met and forming a close bond on drama projects, Cannonball is the first presenting role for both Tim and Ben.

Born in Sydney but raised in Townsville, Rachael quickly rose to fame in her late teens as a model and famously progressed to the final of 2009’s Miss Universe pageant where she placed third runner up.

A long standing member of Channel Seven and one of Australia’s most popular media personalities, Rachael has featured across Sunrise, Dancing With The Stars, The Great Outdoors and High Road Low Road plus a myriad of sports broadcasts including presenting segments from the Spring Racing Carnival and Australian Open.

An advocate for leading a healthy and balanced lifestyle, Rachael recently graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York and is now officially a Certified Health Coach.

In addition to her television work Finch is never far from the catwalk, previously fronting campaigns for Speedo and a current ambassador for MYER.

The high energy and exhilarating challenges of Cannonball are a perfect fit for Finch, who is a competent barefoot water-skier.
