90s TV Nostalgia Makes Comeback With More Reboots

It's 2017, but film makers around the world assume it's 1997. Are we crazy? Please don't say yes.

The ’90s are definitely having a big comeback right now, particularly in the wonderful world of television. Witchy series, Charmed will be getting a fresh reboot, along with classic film Heathers, featuring former actress Shannon Doherty.

There are a number of other shows that were household names in the 1990s and early 2000s that are making their way back to the small screen, with several of them set to debut on major broadcast networks during the 2017-18 TV season. Check out what's returning from the past to fulfil our entertaining pleasures.

The Munsters

The black-and-white family series may have had its biggest run back in the 1990s, when it was a part of Nickelodeon’s Nick at Nite lineup. NBC recently announced plans to revive the half-hour comedy series.

Will & Grace

The reboot will see besties Will, Grace, Karen and Jack running amok in New York City, just as they used to before the series finale, in which Will and Grace were happily married to their respective partners and with children.

Roseanne

The famous 90s series will return to ABC in 2018 with the exact same cast, including John Goodman’s character Dan, who died from a heart attack on the final episode of the series. However, the series will pick up as if Dan’s heart attack never occurred.

Star Trek: Discovery

This sort of classic has never gone out of style; like the entire Star Wars franchise. The reboot is set to debut on CBS All Access on September 24.

Dynasty

Dynasty was one of the greatest TV drama series and has been revived in a number of ways from spin-offs to made-for-TV movies and even a reality special, Dynasty Reunion: Catfights & Caviar. And so, in October, viewers will be reintroduced to the ultrarich Carrington family all over again when the reboot premieres on the CW.
