How "The Wall" Works

The Wall was built with one purpose - to change lives! Here's how...

How "The Wall" Works

How "The Wall" Works

Round 1:

  • “Free Fall” Contestants (playing together as a team) are asked 5 multiple choice questions with an A or B answer option
  • Three balls are released as each question is asked
  • Contestants need to lock in their answers before the balls reach the slot at the bottom
  • Correct answers will turn the ball green and the value will be added to their bank
  • Incorrect answers will turn the ball red and the value will be subtracted
  • Contestants must finish in the positive to continue to the next round

Round 2:

  • Player One goes into isolation
  • Player Two starts the round by sending 2 green balls down the wall from their chosen numbers with the money going to their total
  • In isolation, Player 1 answers 3 multiple choice questions with an A, B or C answer option. If answered correctly, the balls turn green and money is added. If incorrect, the balls turn red and money is subtracted from their total.
  • Player Two also has the option to ‘Double Up’ the money on the second question and ‘Triple Up’ on the third, meaning they can add an extra one or two balls to that question. Increasing the chance at winning more money but also increasing the chance of losing.
  • Player Two plays 2 red balls from where the first 2 green balls were played at the beginning of the round with the amount being subtracted from the team’s total

Round 3:

  • Player Two starts the round by sending 4 green balls down the wall Player One still in isolation must answer 4 multiple choice questions with an A, B, C or D answer option. If answered correctly, the balls turn green and money is added. If incorrect, the balls turn red and money is subtracted from their total
  • Player One then receives a contract, which they can either sign or tear up.
  • Signing the contract will give them the guaranteed payout from Round One plus $20,000 for every question they got right in Rounds 2 and 3
  • Tearing up the contract will give them the total in the bank
  • Player One must sign or tear up the contract without knowing which answers they got right or wrong in the previous rounds
  • Player Two plays 4 red balls from where the first 4 green balls were played at the beginning of the round with the amount being subtracted from the team’s total

Round 4:

  • The decision is made
  • Player One returns to the stage and reveals if they signed or tore up the contract
