"Please Don't Let Me Go" a hit for Rafters

Hit single featured on Channel Seven's "Packed to the Rafters" & Nominated for Brit Award for Best Single

Runner up in UK's The X Factor in 2009, Olly Murs' debut single, Please Don't Let Me Go, has been captivating Australian TV viewers who have seen it on Channel 7 since Christmas Eve promoting the 2011 hit series, Packed to the Rafters.

The track, co-written by Olly along with Steve Robson and Claude Kelly, has been embraced by Australian Radio over the summer period with the video available from Monday January 17th.

Olly said "I'm so excited to be releasing this track which I co-wrote with Steve and Claude. It was important to me to be releasing an original song, and you can blast this one in the car with the windows down and the sun shining".

And with fantastic news in last week that Please Don't Let Me Go has also been nominated for a BRIT Award for Best Single, this single is sure to continue to strike a chord with Australian audiences.

Following his appearance on the 2009 series of the UK's The X Factor, Olly signed a deal with Epic, who is responsible for the phenomenal success for Leona Lewis and Syco Music.

Olly spent most of 2010 working on his debut album, which entered the UK album chart at #2 in December with very impressive cross-counter sales of 108,212 units (behind Take That who held onto the #1 spot).

His self titled album is due for release in Australia later this year. Collaborator on the album include John Shanks (Take That), Eg White (Adele, James Morrison, Duffy), Claude Kelly (Jason Derulo, Miley Cyrus, Kelly Clarkson), Steve Robson (Take That), Trevor Horn (Robbie Williams, Pet Shop Boys), Wayne Hector (JLS, Westlife) Matty Benbrook (Paulo Nutini), and Roy Stride from Scouting For Girls.
