Packed to the Rafters beauty Brooke Satchwell is engaged to her Sydney film editor beau David Gross.
The pair, who have been together for four years, were on holiday in Cambodia when David got down on one knee to pop the question.
"It's actually where we fell in love," Brooke has stated excitedly.
She went on to reveal that she was completely shocked when it all happened.
"It was such a surprise. I later found out he had been planning it for six months."
At a recent Channel Seven event at Luna Park the newly engaged couple were all smiles, revealing their news to friends as well as the media.
"He did very well," she gushes over her engagement ring.
Their dramatic love story...
The pair met while Brook was dating off-the-rails actor Matthew Newton, who pleaded guilty to assaulting her at their Balmain home in September 2006.
David was the producer of the Aussie film Right Here Right Now starring both Matthew and Brooke.
Romance began to blossom in 2008 and they worked together on a documentary.
Their new relationship faced a difficult test when they were caught in crossfire during the Mumbai terrorist attacks. Brooke escaped after going to the bathroom moments before insurgents stormed hotel reception and opened fire.
"We were lucky to have known each other well enough before to know it was more than post-traumatic stress," Brooke has joked.
Hinting at forever?
Marriage and babies has been a hot topic of conversation for the pair for a while now.
Back in February 2012, Brooke commented on her relationship with David, saying that "we are now renovating a house (in Sydney) and living this grown-up life."
She continued to drop hints about their future.
"All I get asked about now is marriage and babies ... I would like that in future."
There are currently no wedding plans. Brooke and David are enjoying every blissful moment of being engaged and are in no rush.
