Love watching it on channel 7 two, hope it doesn't get axed, due to stupid airing time. What are your favourite memories of the early years. I always loved frank and roo together. And when rebecca emaloglu and dannii minougue where in it cant wait till that comes up. My 8 month old smiles every time the theme song comes on, shes a home and away addict already lol

I know i am enjoying re watching them again and my memory of the early days would have to have been Roo and Frank, wasn't a fan of bobby and frank tho. liked how Alisa and Alf got together and loved tom and Pippa they were such a good couple and how can you forget cute little Sally, and Steven.  aww really that is so cute and yes it looks like she is haha.

I absolutely loved Bobby! I loved Roo and Frank they were the original love story but Bobby as a character was hilarious! Loved her! And I love Lance and Martin they are sooo funny and little Sally when she starts saying Lance is her boyfriend heehee sooo funny I love the early years Im still a fan but H&A just isnt the same now!!! I do love Roo being back though I like when old characters return they should bring back Frank and reunite them.  I sometimes wish when old characters come back they used flashbacks I always think that would be nice x

I quite enjoy watching the early years of H & A too.   Its good to remenisce - in fact it seemed a lot more normal in the early years compared to NOW.    All the characters wear on-screen on H&A atm is summery dresses/clothing(all year round - even if its windy, thundery, rain, hail or shine etc).    Back in the early years you'd see them wear a variety of clothing including jackets outside(if it was raining or cold).

Such a pleasure to now be able to watch H&A the early years.
No wonder it has lasted so long.  The characters are so lovable.
Have only been able to get it recently so have missed out on
some important early happenings, like the wooing of Ailsa,
Bobbies romance with Frank and the death of Tom.

Some very good interviews with Judy Nunn - Ailsa and showing
old scenes she was in from H&A and first lesbian kiss and nude
scene from The Box, I think - could be wrong.  Sure someone
will put me right - didn't watch it!

Do you know - haven't ever read a Judy Nunn book.  Will have to put that right.

One interview is on OS.  Saw the other one on another channel
last night.

Sorry I have missed Ailsa's wooing by Alf this year, but did see
it originally!  She is still looking mighty good for 60 plus.

Have a safe weekend everyone!

Also a nostalgic video on about the career of Nick Hardcastle
who played the boyfriend of Sally in l997.  Can't say I can remember this
segment, but maybe would if I saw it in sequence.  He went on
to play a drag queen in Priscilla Queen of the Desert and has
done some promotional work with Ray Meagher who is at present
in London.

Was looking at the video section in the vain hope that they would start showing catch ups for the earlier years.

Morning kassan.................hehe................No-you don't have a stalker !
Yes, saw a segment of Judy Nunn and her hubby ( a writer as well) on one of the Current Affairs shows last night.
Definitely doesn't show her age!

Re Early Years-we had it here for quite a while then, seemed to finish for some reason.
Are you watching (and getting ) it there on 7 (TWO) ?

Aren't you getting it there surf?  Strike action is required.
I am at last getting 7TWO, but yesterday wouldn't transmit
and none of the other stations either for several hours.  I guess
that this is because of change to digital.  Warned that this
can happen by Xtr so wasn't surprised when lost transmission
on and off for an hour or so, but was OK by last night.

There was a catch up on a Sunday I think - but no mention of
it in TV. Week unless I didn't find it.

Have to replace my second TV - on last legs and learn how to
record new stations on other one.

morning surf, Xtr H&A early year fans:)
Thanks for the news!

Have arranged my Mon. so I don't leave the house until 9.30
am, when H&A is over.  Hope digital channels are behaving
well then.  Have been OK since initial drop outs.

Surf thought you would have been getting the same programs
on 7TWO as us.  I think we get the same on channel 7 and GWN - just me 3 hours later!

Feels like you're over in another country now kassan-not just another thread....................hehe.....................

Unfortunately, our local TV Guide leaves a lot to be desired.
Looked again after I read your post.According to it, yes-H+A early years is on at 9.00 a.m. twice a week and the other 3 days have "Early Programs" til 9.30.
hmmm............................Translate to H+A every day M-F at 9.00 am I think !!

Just got home from buying a new vacuum cleaner and well...sort of..........looked at.........those back massage cushions......and sort of....................thought I'd try one out and.....................seeing as I do have a bit of a bad back................well...............they have a heat setting as well............and...........can virtually choose the exact area that needs massaging............um............like shoulders and lower back......................and.............um.....................well........   seeing as I was already in the store...................and..........................don't want to go back again before Christmas......................when everywhere will be packed......................................well...................was really just as good as a 'real' massage................um...................well...................OK- I BOUGHT ONE FOR MYSELF FOR CHRISSY!

Woohoo-really love it-and I'm sure my Doc will tell me to use it at least once a day for half an hour b/w 7.00+7.30pm and with all those reasons, there was really no excuse not to buy it.................hehe.............in fact, I'd have been crazy not to esp as I got it from GG again and got an AMAZING DISCOUNT !
                                 (waves goodbye!)

Funny about that massager.  My friend got one last week

for her birthday!  She loves massages and has one regularly.

I have been waiting for her to use it, as it sounds darn nice

to me, with the heat settings and all!

I felt a bit sorry for you having to replace your bracelet with

a vacuum cleaner for Xmas.  Sounded a bit like Santa

leaving doodoo in your stocking - not that I don't 'love'

my vacuum cleaner.  I bought an old fashioned carpet sweeper

the other week - very handy and light - just the thing with

animals in the house!

Glad you do get the same program as me.  Realise you

are probably at work by 9am but you could tape it if you

want to!  So busy with the change over can't get my tape

deck tuned in or any other work until after New Year so

a friend tells me.

Looking again at your massager description, my friends

has a cushion and goes on a flat surface from head to

foot - yum!  Sure both would be very soothing on the back

and an aid to relaxation/meditation.

Wish the early years were on a little later. Always miss the first half because of work. I think when it first started, it was on at 9.30, so I'm not sure why they changed the time.

Wish they would put it in the Video section, then a lot more
people could watch it and their ads!

Hi Surfette, Xtr, Madam, Maka All H&A Fans,
Have just found out we are back on and the Board is unstuck.
They must have used a lot of oil on it.
I checked this am and was still pretty out of action though someone had crept on.
I have spent the day on useful Xmas pursuits and feel pretty
proud of myself - love being up to date.

Have been watching H&A early years.  What a pain in the .........
some of those characters are!  H&A certainly has improved a thousand fold over the years IMO - though some of the characters hold their own and are very memorable.  Doesn't
matter what I watch of H&A, I think I remember the situations
and the characters.  I would have thought I had missed out on more over the years - apart from the last four years.

Today Adam talks Marilyn in to having a romantic meeting with
Ernie, in attempt to get a pic. with him in a chlinch with Marilyn,
so they can blackmail him,and keep the house he is threatening
to evict them from.  As you would expect this doesn't work out as intended.  Annoying but funny!
Kate Richie/Sally is such a cute little girl singing with her boy-
friend Mullet 'There is a hole in your bucket.'  H&A in the am is
enough to put one in a good mood for the day!!!!

Looks like the Early Years are going to be off air for a couple of weeks during the tennis.

"Home & Away Early Years is not on Jan 2-16 due to tennis coverage airing at varying times over different time zones."

With Adam being involved, I just knew it would end up going wrong. Maz and Adam certainly provide some comedic moments.

Poor Maz, having to endure Ernie like that only to have it blow up in their faces.

It's funny seeing Irene's house as it was back then.

Have just realised that I have inadvertantly been writing on two
H&A early years - sorry - having a Marilyn moment!

Today Sophie befriends a beachcombing hermit, jealous Adam
threatens Emma's musician b/f and preparations are underway for Carly and Ben's wedding.

What a pity that H&A early years will not be on for a couple of weeks.  Was enjoying it!  But next year I can watch it at the
beginning and end of the day!
