Are you ready for a day at the beach doing not much?
Indigo blames her parents’ break-up on both her mother and father. In fact, she feels Jodi contributed in large part to Sid’s infidelity, and hence finds it hard to hate him for his ill deeds. She believes people lie, cheat and let you down horribly on a day-to-day basis, and the only way to survive is to keep a cool head and go with the flow.
While Indigo was taking surfing lessons with Romeo, they built a friendship that developed into a strong relationship, later running off to Hawaii to tie the knot. Returning to Summer Bay as newlyweds, the pair started up a gym together at the Surf Club. With Sid as a financial backer, the reinvigorated gym flourished and Romeo finally found his calling, after struggling as a surf coach and salesman.
Sadly, Indigo and Romeo’s fairytale marriage came crashing down when Romeo discovered a melanoma on his back. Not wanting his wife to see him go through cancer he kept his diagnosis a secret. On their last night together, Romeo took Indigo to her favourite spot near the lighthouse and spoke of their plans for the future, despite knowing that he would be disappearing from her life.
Romeo’s shock departure left Indigo understandably devastated. She even hired a private detective to try and track him down. Not wanting to give up on her husband, Indigo reluctantly started dating Chris after he persistently pursued her. They shared a physical relationship, before developing real feelings for each other.
But a call from Liam changed everything. He had been in contact with Romeo and informed Indigo that he had died. Indigo was wracked with guilt when she realised that she had been cheating on her husband with Chris.
On the advice of Irene, Chris attempted to support Indigo in her time of need. The arrival of Chris’ ex-girlfriend Robyn didn’t help and the news that Romeo has died, brings Indi to the realisation that she needs to leave Summer Bay and all the memories of Romeo behind.
