Passenger Train Derails in China's Hunan Province

A passenger train derailed in China’s Hunan province on March 30 after a reported landslide on the tracks.

According to local media, the train derailed just before noon local time at a disused train station in in Yongxing County, Chenzhou.

The Guangzhou Railway Group, the company operating the train, confirmed the incident, saying that continuous rain had caused part of the line to collapse. The driver used the emergency brake, but could not prevent the derailment.
