Officer Workers Don Face Masks to Support Protesters in Hong Kong's Central

Office workers, some wearing face masks along with their suits, lined the streets of Central, Hong Kong, on November 11, in support of a flash protest held on Connaught Road and surrounding areas.

Protesters blocked roads and disrupted transportation a day after violent clashes in the city, which saw a man set alight during a confrontation and a protester shot at point-blank range during a tussle with a police officer.

Elsewhere on November 11, police and protesters clashed at the Chinese University with tear gas used and protesters setting fire to a car.

Anti-government demonstrations in Hong Kong have been ongoing since April 2019, prompted by a proposed extradition bill that would have allowed criminal suspects to be transferred to mainland China. The bill was formally withdrawn in late October. Credit: SocRec via Storyful
