Jubilant Washington Nationals Bounce Around Pitcher's Mound After NL Pennant Win

The Washington Nationals baseball team earned their ticket to the World Series after a 7-4 win over the St Louis Cardinals on Tuesday, October 15, gave them the National League pennant.

The last time the Washington Nationals made it to the World Series was in 1933, the Washington Post reported.

This video shows Washington players running onto the middle of the diamond and bouncing in a celebratory huddle as fireworks burst into the sky at Nationals Park in Washington.

The video was filmed behind home plate by Laurence Leavy, better known as the Marlins Man for the bright-orange Miami Marlins jersey and visor he wears at games.

Leavy said the win was an “amazing moment” for Nationals history. Credit: @Marlins_Man via Storyful
