Hurricane Zeta Batters Southern Louisiana as Thousands Left Without Power

At least 400,000 homes were without power in Louisiana on Thursday, October 29, after Hurricane Zeta battered the state on Wednesday.

NOLA.com reported that more than 400,000 Entergy customers were without power on the morning of Thursday, October 29, with approximately 175,000 without power in Jefferson Parish and almost 70,000 homes and businesses suffering power outages in St Tammany Parish.

The National Hurricane Center had warned of “life-threatening storm surge, high winds, and heavy rain” as Zeta moved through southeastern Louisiana and southern Mississippi.
