Demonstrators Sing During Protest Inside Hong Kong Mall

Demonstrators in Hong Kong sang inside a city shopping mall on September 21 as the protests that began against a now withdrawn exhibition bill continued for a 16th consecutive weekend.

Hundreds of protesters sang “Glory to Hong Kong,” which has become a protest anthem.

The South China Morning Post said there were clashes between police and protesters in the Tuen Mun area of the city earlier on Saturday, with petrol bombs thrown by protesters and tear gas deployed by police.

A protest by pro-Beijing groups was sparser in attendance than was expected on Saturday, the outlet reported. Credit: Shaun Walsh via Storyful
