The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Tuesday morning, November 12, that they had carried out an airstrike against Baha Abu al-Ata, the leader of the Al-Quds Brigades, in Gaza.

Palestinian media reports said that al-Ata and his wife were killed in the strike. Dozens of rockets were fired at Israel in response to the killing, with 29 people receiving minor treatment as a result, according to Magen David Adom.

The IDF said 50 rockets had been launched in total, with 20 intercepted by its Iron Dome defense network.
