Quibi launches mobile streaming service, 'Modern Family' ends after 11 seasons and more of this week's best in pop culture

During the coronavirus pandemic, “The It List'' is spotlighting things you can enjoy while social distancing. Quibi, the mobile-only subscription streaming service, is here! Quibi stands for quick bites. It’s 10 minute-or-less episodes you can watch only on your phone. Celebrities like Chrissy Teigen, Sophie Turner, Chance the Rapper and Jennifer Lopez (to name a few) have their own shows. Will the streaming service be able to compete with the likes of Netflix, Disney+ and Hulu? Will people staying at home because of the coronavirus be more likely to watch shows on their phones? Quibi hopes the answer is — yes! “Modern Family” says goodbye after 11 seasons, 250 episodes and 22 Emmys. The finale is a two-part, one-hour series farewell. “Modern Farewell,” a documentary about the ABC comedy, will air before the finale. It will reflect on the show through interviews by the cast and crew. Check out the video above for “The It List,” Yahoo’s weekly look at the best in pop culture.
