- Australian climber Jason Kennison has died on Mount Everest while returning from the summit. The 40-year-old was raising money for spinal cord injuries, a cause very close to him, after he was in a car accident in 2006 and told he'd never be able to walk again.

A Perth man has sustained third degree burns on his arms and legs after a vape reportedly caught fire in his pocket. The horrific injury left the 40-year-old needing skin grafts to help repair the damage caused by the burns while enduring a two-week hospital stay.

Britain's King Charles chatted with garden designers at London's Chelsea Flower Show. The King, who is known to enjoy gardening, himself, explored some of the garden creations on show. Several members of the royal family have already visited this year's annual festival of garden design in West London, including Queen Camilla and Prince William.

Mohamed Kordofani directed the first Sudanese film to be included in the Cannes Film Festival's official selection as weeks of fighting in Sudan has driven nearly 1.1 million people from their homes. Kordofani said the experience is bittersweet saying he's immensely honored, but at the same time I walk the red carpet while people are running away from bullets and bombing.
