- An Australian man had to pry open a crocodile's jaws that had clamped onto his head during a snorkeling attack. The 51-year-old was in the water about 40 kilometers from shore off Cape York coast in Queensland when the saltwater crocodile approached him from behind. According to Cairns' post, he suffered scalp lacerations and puncture wounds to his head and hand.

Police have confirmed that cadaver dogs will search a vacant Sydney building that exploded into flames as emergency services are still unable to sift through the rubble days after the incident. It is understood that two people remain unaccounted for more than three days after the fire.

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has signed one of the world's toughest anti-LGBTQ laws, which includes the death penalty. Same-sex relations were already illegal in Uganda. But the new law goes much further, including a 20-year sentence for promoting homosexuality. The move could risk some of the billions in foreign aid that Uganda receives.

At least two people, including a five-year-old girl, were injured at a rodeo in Western Australia after a bull got loose and charged through the crowd. Paramedics were already on standby at the scene and treated a small number of spectators for minor injuries.
