Biden: It is 'totally irresponsible' for Trump to be taking hydroxychloroquine

Former Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday during a Yahoo News virtual town hall said that it is “totally irresponsible” for President Trump to be taking hydroxychloroquine as a preventive against the coronavirus.

JOE BIDEN: Heh, It's like saying, maybe if you injected Clorox into your blood, you know, it may cure you. Come on, man. What is he doing? What in God's name is he doing?

And the things the presidents say-- the words of a president matter. When the president says he is using-- you heard the vice president, today or yesterday, saying, I'm not using it. I'm not using it. The vice president of the United States.

Look, this is absolutely irresponsible. There's no serious medical personnel out there saying to use that drug. It's counterproductive. It's not going to help. But the president, he decided that's an answer.

So what do you think people are going to be doing? You think they're not going to use it? And look at the studies that've been done. It does much more harm than good. This is totally irresponsible, totally irresponsible.
