Woman sparks drama with response to sister’s ‘awful’ request: ‘This is karma’

A woman wouldn’t let her older sister and niece stay with her during an emergency, but now she isn’t sure if it was the right decision. She has never had a positive relationship with her sister and went on Reddit’s “Am I the A******” forum to share what happened. Since she was born, her big sister wanted nothing to do with her. “She didn’t like having a younger sibling... She moved out when she was 18 and ceased any contact with me… She got married when I was 17 and told our parents I was not welcome,” the user wrote. But then her older sister needed her help. “She lost her job recently and she got a new job in my city and then the rental she had planned to move into fell through and she ended up asking me to stay. I told her no,” the user explained. “When I stood by my stance they [our parents] paid for her to stay in a hotel for a while … She has not been able to secure a place and apparently lost the job due to a lack of actual address”. Reddit users thought the sister got what she deserved. “An awful situation for the daughter, but this is karma coming for your sister for the way she treated you,” one person wrote
