After the drama of Monday night none of the finalists felt safe going into the latest results show.
Nerves were settled after the Top 5 shared the stage with the legendary Michael Bolton (Watch it here). We were then treated to a hot, hot, hot performance from former Aussie Idol competitor and all-round sex kitten Ricki Lee who performed her new single "Raining Diamonds" (Watch the vid here).
Britain’s Got Talent superstar Susan Boyle also graced the stage for her first ever Australian performance, singing "Autumn Leaves" before getting a cuddle from Ronan, which was clearly the icing on her cake (Watch her performance here).
This week’s sing-off was then battled out between Declan - singing "The Ballad Of Mona Lisa" - and Three Wishez - singing for their X Factor life with Jessie J’s "Nobody’s Perfect".
Mel B held the deciding vote with the scores at 2 vs 1 after Ronan and Natalie had opted to send Declan home. Although Mel thought Declan was “endearing, quirky and original,” it wasn’t enough to save him and he was promptly sent home.

Three Wishez did well to save there life in that performance, Declan has been awesome to watch and wish him all the best he is still only 15 years and has a great future ahead, singing, modeling and just being Declan a unique character, GOOD LUCK DECLAN. Three Wishez good luck and see you guys in the final!!
ReplyDeclan you will be missed, but you will go on to be the next David Bowie. I was absolutely devastated to see you go. It's up to Reese now to kick Johnny's butt.
ReplyMMMMMM SImon Cowell will not be happy - Declan possess a uniqueness that is iinternational - so different to the same style singers and Black Eyed Peas impersonators out there...... Please note I like both acts - and wish them future succes! however, I'm no longer filling my ipod with same same stuff. Back to the great songs - such Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Beatles, Boom Town Rats, Bowie, Sting and yes Eric Carmen etc... Good for Declan, because he will be signed on his own terms and not obligated to a rigid contract. Declan's future is so bright - he is amazing qirky artist, the likes of which we haven't seen for a while - singer/song writer, international catwalk model/actor, singer/songwriter - the possibilities are endless!!!!!!!!!!!
