Downton Abbey's Granthams and their family of servants have already weathered scoundrels, scandals, and a momentous succession crisis. But by November, 1916, the Great War has rendered everything — and everyone — changed. Even Downton Abbey itself, like its residents, has risen to the call of duty and transformed.

I watched Season 2 and the Christmas Special in NZ in 2011 ! Why are we waiting so long for programmes to be aired in Australia! I am definitely having Season 3 recorded in NZ and posted over so I I am not 6 months behind the rest of the world.
ReplyMy American friends can't believe we haven't seen it yet! They were annoyed THEY had to wait! Wake up Seven and secure the playing rights earlier!!!
ReplyOk, so I saw the trailer for Downton Abbey Series 2 on Channel 7 last night while watching Titanic. It was a sneak peak so hope that means the show will be airing in the near future. I couldn't wait for channel 7 to air it because the show is just so good and it's actually been 7 months since the show aired in the UK and I think that's rather too long to wait! Series 2 was fantastic! Better than Series 1, Julian Fellowes is just amazing and the actors are brilliant! Looking forward...
ReplyI've tried to be patient but as the DVD's are making their way to Australia via import the pull is too great and I'm going to have to buy and watch it. It's a big shame that with so many shows now coming here at the same time as they're being released in the northern hemisphere that Seven hasn't been more proactive in their approach to secure their television viewers.....I wonder how many people will get it on DVD instead and not bother watching it when it hits (whenever...
ReplyI agree, it's far too long to wait for series 2 . I have bought and watched the series 2 DVD already. Can't work out why Channel 7 have dragged their feet on this one - it got great reviews here, should have thought it was a ratings winner. The other benefit of watching the DVD as opposed to the TV is you don't get the ad breaks every 5 minutes, which ruined series 1. I think Channel 7 has missed the boat. Second series is cracking, by the way! Can't wait for the Christmas...
ReplyDownton Abbey series two. Why wait for tardy channel 7? can buy it now. And, we have missed the Christmas Special as well!! BOO!
ReplyWHEN is series 2 going to be shown? It has been shown in the UK already months ago. Considering the speed at which these shows can now be beamed across the planet, it makes no sense making us wait all this time. We should have been only a week at most behind the UK. Not happy!!
ReplyIt's refreshing to have an intelligent drama on TV, I really enjoy watching it but WHEN IS IT COMING BACK?
ReplyNZ just had there last episode, I'm hanging out for it to start here.Does anyone know ?
