FRUIT

- Fresh is always best
- Not many fruits can be frozen
- Canned fruit is cooked first

VEGETABLES

- A lag between when they’re picked and bought
- Less exposure to oxygen ensures freshness
Frozen when fresh retains nutrients
Some veggies are more nutritious canned

FISH

- When it comes to fish Ginni says tinned is actually a really good option as it’s got less mercury, retains Omega 3 oils, usually includes traces of bones which you can’t taste but add calcium. - Fish from the shops isn’t always fresh - Frozen fish is hard to use when defrosted - Tinned fish can be healthier than fresh - Often have higher Omega 3 levels
