Grant Bowler

Grant Bowler couldn’t wait to return as host for the second season of The Amazing Race Australia, despite the breakneck pace and only narrowly staying one step ahead of the racers.

“This new race was even more full-on than the first,” says Grant. “Every day brings the unexpected and a huge amount of adrenaline. But that’s the challenge and that’s where the buzz comes from.”

“This new series travels further, goes to places no race anywhere has ever gone before and is even more compelling than last year’s Race,” says Grant.

“But above all else it is the incredible racers that make this series so entertaining to watch. They’ve a really eclectic, funny, interesting bunch that I believe is unmatched by any other show on the box.”

“And big hair – there’s lots of big hair this time around.”

Raised in Brisbane, Grant is a NIDA graduate and has forged a reputation in Australia and internationally as one of our most diverse talents.

Now living in Los Angeles, Grant has recently starred in US series Ugly Betty and hit HBO show True Blood. He’ll soon be seen in a guest role in the new series GCB on Seven before his debut as the lead in Defiance, set to air on America’s SyFy network later in 2012.
