Should Hooters support an Under16s AFL team?

A young AFL team on the Gold Coast says they were desperate for support.

So when Hooters restaurant offered to give them some funding and supply two girls in tight tops to act as cheerleaders at their games, the team said 'yes!'.

But locals raised concerns about the message the decision may be sending the wrong message to the young men.

With football codes all facing more attention over their attitude to women, it is thought by women's advocates that a better sponsor could be found.

Is Hooters restaurant an appropriate sponsor for a Gold Coast Under 16s sports team?
