An explosive interview has caused the Prime Minister Julia Gillard onto the backfoot over her replacement of Kevin Rudd in the nation's top job.
Ms Gillard refused to answer a question on Four Corners over when she knew a victory speech was being written for her to be read upon her ascension to the potion of PM.
Many commenters on our Facebook say that the issue is dead and buried...
Tania Davies - Who cares? Get over it people. The past is gone, done, over. You wont change it by dragging it up.
Others saw it as another nail in Labor's electoral coffin...
John O'Brien - She has lied before and I have no doubt she will lie again - with her whatever it takes attitude. How long are we going to let her treat us like this. The best pollies are the ones that tell it straight how it is, no BS.
But some saw it as an unnecessary story to be discussing...
Stebbo Stebblings - The way you people are going, you're going to lose a leader with real vision, someone that is trying to do something for our future and not just for the next election, think before you judge a courageous woman that the media won't let up on.

Australia is still a country of democracy... How dare any political party! state that the public status is not an issue of importance it's the parties decision! let the party not forget that it's the people that voted as placed under the circumstance of voting not only for a particular member, but also party!! Kevin Rudd was not taken out of circumstance by the people!!! We do count and the people of Australia need contain the freedom it represents... Kevin Rudd was doing a wonderful job cleaning up someones prior attempts, Kevin Rudd is fair and diplomatic to match with some style and class not ABC school tactic's conutinually, all parliment circumstances needs a good shake up, and kick in the pants! to be aware of the peoples needs!!! Kevin Rudd party of Labor is so busy being oppositional that it is ignoring it's voters to make it's own point! Which is what slapping it's citizens in the face! with you can't see us maneuvers! thank for the respect to the people of Australia!!!
Replyi believe she had known but she is a compulsive liar which is not a good personal attribute for a PM. she keep saying she got things done but those things were not for the benefit to the majority of the people . she refuse to listen to the people's wish.

ReplyI am so disappointed at the PM, JG and WS theTreasurer. They have shown more passion about keeping their jobs by bad mouthing another Australian who was a Previous PM who deserves more respect as he was voted in by the people for the people. ZIt is not the Australian way to act so undignified. The Australian way "is a fair go" Pity JG and WS could not have shown this much passion about policies, listening to everyday Australians, their everday tasks as they perform their duties in their job descriptions. The Labor Party had more respect by everyday Australians when KR was PM now it is just an absolute embaracement on the world platform. Bring back Kevin Rudd and see if he can save Labor as Tony Abbott would have to work hard campaigning then he won't have too with JG.JG talks up how we need a strong leader, where were her leadship skills on Australia Day, I saw a scared woman being ushered into a car, not a Confident PM. I am disappointed with Labor who seem so out of touch with everyday Austalians.
