Real life Forrest Gump runs like crazy!

People respond to personal turmoil in all kinds of ways. After a divorce, Tristan Miller vowed to run a marathon every week for a year in 2010. The 34-year-old sold virtually everything he owned to fund his $120, 000 – 42 country – globe trotting marathon. His final race was around Albert Park on December 27.

In 2010, Tristan ran a marathon in each continent over the past year, including a gruelling 100km run through the mountains of Mongolia and runs in Antarctica, New York and Siberia.

PERSONAL BEST
Tristan racked up a personal best of 3.03 hours in Berlin and came second in a 100km ultra marathon in Mongolia.
His favourite marathon was New York, where some of his Australian friends joined him and ran.

So far, Miller has raised $15,000 for UNICEF and Facing Africa.
