Miss Universe Australia: YOU Decide What She Should Wear!


  • It's the dress that's meant to represent Australia but it almost always divides the country.


    Over the last few weeks we asked you to design the "Face of Australia" Australian National Costume. We received hundreds of entries.


    Now a Top 4 has been chosen and with all the hard work done, the rest is up to you. One billion people around the world will see this uniquely Australian outfit.


    SO WHICH ONE OF THESE FOUR BEAUTIFUL DESIGNS SHOULD MISS UNIVERSE AUSTRALIA WEAR?

    The winning designer will be announced on Sunrise on Wednesday the 21st of November and will travel to Las Vegas to Donald Trump's Miss Universe pageant to see their creation on stage.

    Inspired by "This Golden Country".

    Gold colour is a symbol of Australia – with its golden sun, desert and sands Inspired by Jorn Utzon's Opera House, one of Australia's most recognisable example of architecture This costume is a symbol of our nation's forward thinking, arts and culture, and the great sails of our harbour lifestyle.

    Inspired by the Great Barrier Reef.

    This costume, modelled after the breathtaking beauty of the nature living amongst Australia's waters, was also created to bring awareness to the slow disappearance of a world's treasure.

    Inspired by Black Swan.

    The emblem of WA The costume is adorned with pearls and opals, gems that have become synonymous with Australian jewellery and iconic aspects of this country.


    Design D

    Inspired by Native Australian flora.

    The bead work and colour palette are inspired by Eucalyptus leaves and the Melaleuca The Calytrix flower is represented in the three dimensional silk flowers The sheer layered petal skirt of hand painted silk organza replicates the silhouette of the Hibiscus.
