Cheeky and funny, big-hearted 30 year-old Vlad lives at home with his parents. Family is important to Vlad and he hopes to one day soon start his own. But first he must meet the right girl.

“I think I can be a bit picky at times and if they don’t have the attributes I’m looking for, I don’t bother,” says Adelaide based Vlad whose idea of a perfect wedding is a church ceremony on a sunny day.

“It’s only in the last five years that I’ve been looking for a partner in a serious way. I didn’t really care beforehand, but now is the perfect time to find someone.”

Vlad has yet to bring a girl home to meet his parents but says his perfect partner is a woman who shares his family values and love of music.

“My ideal woman is caring and respectful to their family, friends and themselves,” he says. “A girl who likes to be challenged without being scared to voice their opinion. Someone who is loving, supportive, honest and loves music like do. Music is what I live for, it’s a major passion.

“I like a girl who enjoys keeping fit and has some interest in sport. I like smart and talkative girls. I tend to be more attracted to girls with European ethnicity as I feel their family values are much stronger.”

Over the club and bar scene, Vlad believes it’s getting harder to meet people these days so he jumped at the chance to find love on national TV.

“It’s such a unique way to meet someone. It’s the craziest thing I’ve ever done.”

And after a bit of convincing, Vlad had his mother Milena on board. The two share a “great” relationship, he says.

“She’s always interested in what I do and I can generally talk to her about anything. She has done more than enough for

me in my life especially living at home. I’m trying to learn from her as much as possible about cooking so when I move out, I’m ready to go.

“She is a very loving, caring and sensitive person and always wants the best for me. She has never done anything wrong my by me and I love her for that. I think that’s why she wants me to find the best partner possible, someone who cares for me as much as she does.”

After graduating from high school in 1999, Vlad began work at the University of Adelaide bookshop before taking a year out of work to study sound engineering. He returned to work for a short time at the university before embarking on a four year retail career. In 2006 he moved into banking, where he works today.

Although he’s only come close to finding love once, Vlad is optimistic that it will happen one day.

"I’ve really only met one girl who had everything I was looking for, a friend of mine, but she wasn’t ready for a serious relationship,” he says. "I’ve met other girls that either I wasn’t attracted to or we just were at different stages of our lives, so it didn’t work out.

"I don’t think I’m looking for too much in a girl regardless of what people say, everyone has a list of what they want, it’s just a matter of finding someone who fits it and vice versa."

A wife should be: Caring, supportive, loving, honest - someone who loves you for who you are. And beautiful of course!

My celebrity bride would be: Beyoncé because she is beautiful and talented. She seems to be a very caring person.
