"Spoiler alert! Michelle Trachtenberg, who played the villainously bitchy Georgina Sparks in the first season of Gossip Girl , is returning to the cult teen drama. According to Entertainment Weekly 's TV insider Michael Ausiello, a Gossip Girl source revealed that Trachtenberg will return for multiple episodes near the end of the show's current second season. The devious, sultry Georgina was last seen near the end of Gossip Girl 's first season, when she returned to New York City's Upper East Side to terrorise her nemesis Serena van der Wooden (Blake Lively). After almost stealing Serena's then-boyfriend Dan (Penn Badgley), Georgina was ultimately undone by queen bee Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester) and carted off to a school for troubled young women. Ausiello adds that there's a rumour going around saying Georgina may turn out to be the secret lovechild of two of Gossip Girl 's adult characters. But don't expect to see Georgina pop up on Australian free-to-air TV anytime soon — the Nine Network, which recently began airing the series, has pulled it from its schedule effective immediately. Gossip Girl airs on FOX8 on Tuesdays at 8.30pm."
