Great show .the judges stupid comments through the show drive me mad.

Sometimes they don't match up with their scores. Uncooked and inedible meat getting high scores being one example

I think the judges say a lot of things while judging and then it's up to the editing to choose which comments to air, positive or negative.  Editing is the biggest part of all shows on TV.  Oprah says she insisted for decades that she get final edits of her
 programs.  Needless to say that is  one of the secrets to her decades of success.  Otherwise, imagine what "the powers that be" would have made her look like?

That's because the judges are chefs and not professional food critics. If they put Matt Preston on the show for example to do the judging there would be a lot more substance and consistency to this show. MKR will always be living in the shadow of MCA because they refuse to hire professional food critics to do the role of judging. That is all.

The part I didnt get was when all the guest judges tasted the foods in the grand final and crtitique sammy and bellas food, they did a turn around at scoring time and said they were perfect. Whats with that.

@ Chris, I agree with you in that the comments are inconsistent however I do not understand why the judges are not qualified to critique the food. What qualifications does one need to critique food other than a set of functioning tasbebuds?
