PMSL at ANgela and Justines total lies about their age and how long they have been besties.

Angela says she is 44 (cough cough) and Justine 42 but they  met when waitressing  while doing hospitality at the Sheraton.
BUT have been cooking together and friends for 28 years

DO THE MATH you stupid false twits. That would have made you  16yo and 14 yo working at the a licensed hotel. Yeah right

Tell the truth you old trollops! you are both closer to 50 than 40

If they were 'doing hospitality' they were probably in high school when they met. I'm not sure I would refer to the Sheraton as just 'a licensed hotel' either. They could have worked anywhere in the facility except the bar.

What possible motive would they have to lie about their age? Both of them look in their forties. They are actually my favourite team because they make me laugh.

I know  them both- have done for 20 years. Since school and I know that Angela is 46 going on 47. She is a snooty #$%$ and nothing like she is pretending.

I hope you realise that labor laws were different 3 decades ago. It is very much possible that they were working at 16 at a hotel.

Plus, I doubt the show would let them make up an age.

What a silly thread this is,     who really gives a d amn about age,      its only a number and if they both  want to say they are a few yrs younger then they are,   if  they  really are older,  who cares,   its not about age,  its about cooking isnt it ?

Sorry, I can't move on. This is a total shambles! How can people lie about their age on a reality tv show??
Is there nothing real on these shows?
(This was not a serious contribution)

Mark you ignorant git... re read my post. I said she is the same age as me- which makes her 46.

Perhaps you should get your eyes checked

Could it possibly just be a simple typo rather than Angela actually lying?

Nothing to get your knickers in a knot about at any rate.

I can't believe what I am reading here, what a nasty lot of losers you all are, come on, now bite back, that is what you all seem to be good at.  FFS, it is a show, a great show, if you don't like it, hey, newsflash, press the little red button>

I have a little input for this ridiculous thread!
I am a fully qualified chef. I started my career in the industry at the age of 14, I was living out of home at the age of 15. I qualified when I was 20 and have worked 5 star and silver service all over the world.
I started out in my home town of Airlie Beach aka The Whitsundays. I was 1 of 3 juniors employed in a fully licensed restaurant. The two girls who worked the floor did not access the bar side of things. There were drink waiters to do that job.
I have worked at the Sheraton Mirage in Port Douglas and as Marie L said, there are many facets of the company. I am not sure of the companies current policies for junior employment, but I know that things have changed dramatically over the past 20 or so years! So to say they were not working as junior wait staff is only an assumption and in my opinion a very naive one at best.
Open your mind a bit dear and think outside the box! It really is a fun place to be!
Peace

Well spoken Paul, I love the part of the world you are from, "Airlie beach, I lived on Hamilton Island for months, Love Port Douglas too.
So many people here seem to be judgemental, niave and just plain nasty.  Personally I love the show, I don't care who is gay or hetrosexual, it has nothing to do with cooking.

I think the life I have led and the experiences I've had have really opened my mind Magicmazza! My hometown is a beautiful place indeed. I lived on Hamo for a while. It wasn't my cup of tea, but the convention centre was good experience. Hard and fast for 1000's! I love my profession and although I am retired from cooking now, I still keep up with the Joneses, so to speak! I think a lot of the contestants are aiming way above their abilities in the kitchen. There is a saying in my industry and possibly used in others K.I.S.S = Keep It Simple Stupid. I recommend this basic idea to anyone! It works well.

Seriously the show is about cooking for the monkeys that watch the show and yes 99% are monkey cooking.

Does there age really matter? Its the food that matters but its also the palates of the others! Would seem many don't get this!

I actually find this post to be one of the nastiest in the thread. Why? Because you inferred that all of us that responded here were losers. Not really a nice thing to say at all.

Oh come on Little Dee you know darn well she wasn't referring to you , i agree with her post there are so many nasty posters this year , shame they stuffed it up for everyone, what used to be a forum where we all chatted about the recipes that were cooked  and have a comment or two about the contestants it was nice friendly chat , but all has changed the regulars are gone due to all the nastiness and bullying.
