To the Judges - The score I'm scoring for last night scoring challenge is a ONE. Nice to see that Thomas and Carla are not the only ones that can score strategically.....................

has anyone here had a thought about what M&A served up. Sure it looked nice but really think about the dishes.. pork rolls.......10 year old stuff......seafood in a hollowed out bread with a sauce.. woop de doo 14 yr olds learn this in home ec. The dessert looked ok but  very plain.
I originally thought they were hard done by but on reflection not so. The girls would have got 10's for their entree and dessert and around a 6 for the main. 26 out of 30 divide by 3 an average of around 9 which they got

Did the judges score on an overrall basis Or did they only judge yesterday's challenge? I'm a bit confused---- I thought yesterday was the 1st semi finals? Though Jen and Leigh have cooked some great dishes over the series, yesterday's challenge was not their best. I ain't eating raw pigeon for sure/ neither am I having gravel in my food. What M & A cooked up last --- could'nt fault it, maybe that's why they looked quite shocked !!!

little dee, several chefs have posted otherwise, no way i would accept a dish served in that way, blood red is undercooked not just rare & the skin wasn't crisped either.
do you honestly think any of the judges would allow that dish to go out of there kitchens, if so your deluded

"Pigeon must certainly be served rare, the French like to serve them almost raw but I prefer rare and certainly no more than medium rare, an overcooked pigeon is of little use for anything other than the stockpot. "

from www.gourmetfoodsource.com

Who knew?

I think It's obvious that Jen is a gifted cook. Even though I was certainly not keen on the look of that pigeon, she knows what she's doing.

Totally agree that put my husband and myself off the show.
Half heartedly watching it now but don't think we will bother next time. Just maybe Dr Evil saw something some of us didn't maybe
it wasn't all sour grapes after all.
Can't believe I said that but there you go.

what about in one of the episodes, carly and emily left a cherry pip in the meal. I think they got a lower score for that didn't they?

Gene they would also have got a lower score for the main meal. Remember that they are scored for all 3 meals. If both dessert and entree were a 10 (which is very likely with how well they cooked) then a score of 4 would still have them at an 8 which is what those with gravel gave them. 10+10+4=24. 24/3=8.

Wife and I are from Canada and fell in love with the show while on vacation in your country, managed to download it and finish the series when we came back believing it was a better than average reality cooking show. Have gotten a few co workers into to it as well and we have all arrived at the same blood conclusion. What a load of #$%$ from the jury and their b.s. and then finally this sham. Can't add any more than what you guys all said. What a shame, I shan't bother to try and download anymore of this is the kind of fixing if they intend to keep this garbage up.
Loved my visit, beautiful country.
Cheers

Exactly!! I was thinking of posting the same issue here. I mean there was dirt found in the food and the pigeon was raw. And yet they won the round? Meaning it's okay to server you guest with food that was not clean properly? Megan and Andy put a lots of effort in making their dish. This was totally unfair? It seems as if things were meant to be that way just to run the show. Frankly speaking, i lost the interest in watching the show after the unfairness that happened to Megan and Andy....

Just blame it on that old lady judge who gave an 8 on Leigh and Jen.  She was inconsistent with her scoring.
