Looking forward to their turn in the kitchen, they certainly have a lot of negative comments to say about everybody else. Not nice people....

I desperately hope he falls flat on his face!!! Every single episode he has to be in there with negative comments. I like the army guys - think their comments are fair and just. They give credit where its due but can also make a constructive comment when things arent so good. Sadly, from the previews i dont think they go so well:(

I agree w Angela. The army guys and the greek siblings are the only adding a positive note to the show. Unfortunately, the army guys attempt to make pastry in the QLD heat doesn't look very promising :(

I'm glad someone posted this thread, because I literally wanted to smack Thomas in the face during tonight's episode - he makes Leigh look like an angel in comparison.
He and Carla are nasty pieces of work, and I sincerely hope that they fall flat on their faces when their turn to cook comes next week.

22 years in the catering industry and I know from experience even the best chef has a bad day. Thomas, I hope you have a bad day when it's your turn and get to feel the same feelings that our Kiwi neighbours felt. Ashamed to call you an Australian.

This is what is called leveling off...

when someone may do/be better - then put them down to make him feel better - level them off.

I'm surprised at what comes out of these two mouths... no manners.

Have then not watched shows and seen how awful being snipey and picky is??

"Just Friends" right, so obvious he wants to bump uglies with that large nosed unfunny sour puss, "I wouldn't feed it to my cat!" cut to Thomas laughing like it's the most hilarious thing he's ever heard. They are both vile looking with personalities to match.

Thomas & Carla are both rude & obnoxious.

Jennifer is annoying but she has shown she definitely knows her stuff in the kitchen.

All these makes for great tv viewings & forum overload....

I can't wait to see how Thomas & Carla will go next week... so far it doens't look like things were going very well during the ads.

Yes they are both vile. IMO the only likable teams are the Greek brother and sister and possibly the army mates. (will reserve my opinion until I see more of them).

Unfortunately Carla and Thomas are indicative of many young professional couples today. They hide behind their university education, using it as a shield to isolate themselves from the real world. This and too much income gives them a bloated opinion of their own value to society. They honestly think that they are better than everyone else. Intelligent - yes, wise to the world - no.

They're last to go so they better be guns in the kitchen. I hope they're first to go. Having the other contestants judge each others food is always going to bring out the worst in people.

Agreed Jose. But I also think that being last could work to their advantage because by then they will know exactly what the judges want. Their meal should be impeccably presented with all sauces, condiments, and combinations worked out to give the judges precisely what they want. If it isn't then they do not deserve to be there. And they should know to test the stove prior to cooking.

Agreed Dags but the stove thing - it seems like they can't touch the thing before the 3 hour countdown begins. I'd read the manual or test one in a store before hand. It shouldn't be the a tech know how issue that determines the contest. Can't be doing the oven sponsor many favors.

Watching Thomas and Carla makes me ashamed to be Victorian! They really take their disapproval to the extreme which is unnecessary. What goes around comes around!!! Happy cooking!

Love the army guys! They are super lovely and very encouraging. I hope they go really well.

As for Jennifer and Leigh, they come across as a pair of spoilt brats. However, I do think there is some strategic editing going on to paint Jennifer as a villain. I watched their video and they actually can be quite funny with Leigh taking the mickey out of Jen. She takes it too.

It amazes me that so many people are commenting about "princess" when we have Thomas, a total man#$%$

He annoys me no end, but I have found a way to make his comments comical. When he says, "This is disgusting", I say "Your FACE is disgusting".

"This meal was far from enjoyable"...."Your FACE is far from enjoyable".....and so on.

Perhaps Carla should keep her piehole shut till she actually cooks for the rest of the contestants and we see her skills in the kitchen. Who picked them to represent Vic? Bad bad choice. Snooty little obnoxious self centred pair. Her little boyfriend is a little shit someone shoulda slapped him with the rack of lamb.
I can't believe how Carla bags everybody and she hasn't even cooked yet. Sweetie keep your jeering till after you cook and maybe it will have some weight. Oh I wouldn't even feed that to my cat she reckons. Nice to see that you are setting yourself up to be the spinster that you deserve to be with a cat and all.
