For a NZ team to enter an aussie competition it was always going to be a nightmare & indeed tonight it proved so.
Those 2 princesses need to get out of Australia & understand other cultures.Their ignorance is clearly demonstrated on this programme.
As for Thomas & the stuplid bird he is with, oh my God!! What a pack of numpties. They have no idea & have never left there suburb in all their life let alone their state.
If you want TV ratings, get those muppets off, they are pathetic!
NZ pisses over australia cuisine but I will give australia credit on this one by setting up NZ.
    Judges were great & fair.
I understand its a competition but its only cooking, its not like you lost the rugby world cup... oh hold on, yes you did. In the words of 'George Greogan'... "4 Years".

I think Thomas and Carla were so revoltingly rude I wanted to reach through the Tv and slap them. I felt really hurt and upset with the way the previews of the program made it sound as though Aussies really hate us. I wasn't suprised though that "Princess" (who really is nothing more than a scullery maid in a flash frock as she has absolutely no class) had to make further comments about the pav when they had already been told about the oven problems.

It is a competition yes, and yes the Kiwi's dropped the ball, but Thomas's body language and contorted looks on his arrogant smarmy face makes want to do nasty things to him.
I just hope we never meet in the street, or it could be messy, like his cooking!  :-)

Thomas and Carla really got their just desserts tonight when they scored the lowest score in the first round of MKR. Following all the rude smarmy comments by Thomas over the weeks you would think he would have at least some skill iin the kitchen, but sadly this wasnt the case. I think the other teams were too generous assigning them 4's for their meals. This makes up just a little for the embarrassing effort by the NZ team of Simon and Meg. Seriously, are you sure they arent really aussies in disguise? A real NZer would have fxed that oven with a bit of number 8 wire and knocked out some perfect pavs.Next time they leave the country someone please revoke their passports.

The surprise of this series so far has been Leigh and Jennifer. Although seemingly ditzy with crazy eyes Jennifers cooking skills were actually pretty impressive and this team may go all the way.

My one concern so far in this series is this aussie preoccupation with their food being made without "love". The last time I heard this term mentioned this much in regard to food involved a certain kitchen hand preparing coleslaw in a fast food restaurant. Surely this isnt a requirement in this competition? How would Angela and Justine get on?

I know one of the contestants from Perth and we cannot believe how seriously you all take this. Have you not forgotten this is a TV show designed to evoke reactions and hype with the sole aim of achieving ratings and making money.

Its a heavily manipulated process and the furthest thing from a legitimate competition.

The contestants have restricted input and control over the dishes they cook, they have wardrobe managers who buy the clothes they wear and dress them and they're fed lines to evoke reactions like what is seen above.

Every couple give both positive and negative feedback for the dishes presented. The producers select the "villains" by pasting together all of their negative remarks & facial expressions whilst making "heroes" of other characters by way of reverse.

Many of the contestants had never cooked prior to going on the show. Confirming, once again, that they show and its participants are not selected based upon "cooking ability" - they're chosen for pure exploitation and character manipulation.

My friend said Jennifer is lovely, Carla works with children with autism, Thomas works with our indiginous population in the remote communities whilst volunteering with children who have learning difficulties and Gary is a warm natured doctor who has undertaken ample volunteer work and as for Leigh - well apparently she is gorgeous and had quite a tough upbringing. None of them are villains. They're no more a villain than the actors who fill similar roles in home & away.

    Please people. Get some perspective.
