God I cant imagine that marriage lasting!! Anne Marie was a pain in the %#@# she should seriously look at herself. She wears the pants and poor old Nick, god help him with that witch.
It got to the point I could barely watch the show with :babe, babe, babe, babe all the time. Groan and yuk glad they are gone but will miss Nick. She made all the mistakes as well, god help if he did and all the kissing at the end of everything. ????.. I would have punched her out!!

thats ok, nick only needs to hang in there a yr or so, think of nicole kidman everytime he kisses and calls her babe, then soon enough, he will have half her assets, and live comfortably ever after.
sometime you have to go through hell to get to heaven.

Her attitude to Nick was disgraceful at times throughout this series.  When she was carrying on about the fish in the semi, he should have just chucked the knife down and said if you're so great, you do it then.  How could he put up with been talked to like that?

I believe when she watches this series through, she is going to be mortified, she probably doesn't even realise how bad she is or is coming across!

Hopefully when Nick watches it and sees what a wimp she has made him look on the show, he may grow some.

There was a news article about how the show has put a strain on their marriage - and even now, they struggle. They don't cook together any more in the kitchen.

I'm glad they've gone.. babebabebabebabebabebab GAH!!!

Now I just have to put up with the Wave Rock hairdo of Lee. I like her and her cooking, but that hair.....

I think she was as patient as she could be with Mr Slow Poke - while he produces some good results, he is incapable of hurrying ... sooooo frustrating!  Like I wrote on another post here somewhere ... her "Babe" really means "Idiot".

Everybody acts differently under pressure.

I'd like to see everyone in here try coping in similar situations!  I bet a lot of attitudes would quickly change when viewing their play-back!

After the "heat" was off, Anne-Marie calmed down.  It was just her individual way of trying to deal with the stresses.

Her and Nick's methods (and pace) of working are different...when one in a partnership is of a more fiery nature and probably more used to doing things his or herself, naturally when under the gun, so to speak, that person will lash out under such conditions.

God!  There were many times...every time when I was under pressure when cooking in restaurants I wasn't the most pleasant person to be around, either...but once the pressure was off, everything changes...the atmosphere gets back to normal.

I've said all this before and am repeating myself, I know.

You cant really hurry with whiting fillets, they are so fragile he could have torn them completely therefore there would be no dish. I agreed there was enough skin to get it slightly on the plate. Even though he appeared cranky at her saying put it in also. 

They were both much better last night than I expected, but yes I am glad Anne Marie has gone, she drove me totally insane with her carrying on. sorry for the Anne Marie fans but that husband has two sides frustrating with not always listening to direction on menus that are obviously Anne maries and being so hen pecked. Has anyone else noticed Anne Marie has put weight on in one place, could her moods be due to she is pregnant??????? Look at the first episode and then look at her tummy last night. blousy top also. 

Did anyone else feel the judging was out its the first time I fully expected Kan and Lee to score a tad lower however that was the opposite. They complained about the soft shell crab not being crunchy, and yet they loved the presentation and the flavor of the whiting, main courses the pork looked a bit messy but tasted great, and the veal Du was superb as was the veal if only as Toby said to be slightly more beaten out. The desert was average but Kan and Lees was better however again didn't rate big as it lacked a bit of presentation. I really thought Kan and Lee would go last night, I am so glad they didn't, they deserve their spot in the finals. Will be interesting night and I guess we just dont know, all expecting Sammy and Bella to pull it off completely, but after last nights judging truly it could go anyway.

I have also worked in some of the biggest restaurants, and yes its stressful, but there is no excuse for bad behavior and being so hot and cold. Being in charge of so many staff and Apprentice chefs you just cant be seen to carry on like that. Its teaching bad behavior and there is no excuse. 

Get yourself sorted and have a great working team, not always possible however it is possible. I have done it with a great team and a very demanding 100 seat restaurant.

remshalee  - When I ready your post, I suddenly remembered how cranky I get when hubby interrupts my cooking so, point taken.  Tracey  - I too was surprised by the result after the judges comments but maybe they intended to mislead us for the surprise factor - ie we may not have heard all the positive & negative comments.

I also found Nick exasperating--so slow and dogged, but any sympathy I had for AM evaporated with the constant Babe, and I agree with Novice cook---you can read Idiot for Babe, that is what it sounded like, with no sincerity in it!!!!  Thank goodness they are gone and we can enjoy the final without having to listen to that continual carping.........

I believe that AM stated in a mag i/v that she doesn't care what the public's perception of her is! "WE" obviously have no idea of the pressure on them!!!   They are ALL under that pressure, b ut the others did not choose to act the diva, hog the limelight and act like a shrew to her patheticlaly weak and inpt husband. Rant over.

And what the viewers need to remember is they are not professionals, they have entered a  cooking competition, they have not had the training like the chefs in the restaurants so they naturally will get a lot more flustered, but when you see the pressure they are experiencing i feel they all did really well . And i wish both teams good luck tonight

CG  - I guess you are right, last night when I was trying to get all my 'elements' on the plate for dinner for only 2, while keeping it all hot, I actually thought, how do they do it, even with 2 of them, it's got to be very difficult.

CG, you are right ---- I don't know how they deal with that stress (my husband and I would have killed each other by now,lol, but it is for exactly that reason that I would never enter a cooking contest with him...) I think you have to be a good sport and very brave to contemplate this and good on them for giving it a go!!!!!

Lol Parker, they should be looking at Anne m when they say that-in reference 2 the movie and her looks...the audacity of dat woman 2 date sumone like Nick! or maybe he married down a peg in hoping she wood not stray-who knows y day married-only them i guess.~~~
