I'm not sure I'd want Andy plating up my food with his bare hands after just seeing him pick his nose! Last time he cooked, he was belching in the kitchen!

what, a GP and a pooncy lawyer who live in an immaculate home??

in other words you're an immature homophobe, who even in 2012 has to convey the fact that you're homophobe to the world lest people you will never even meet on the internet think you might have thoughts about kissing another man or find out about your tiny #$%$..

seriously, grow up! it's not 1950 anymore...

It doesn't matter to me gay or straight. My issue is cleanliness in the kitchen. The producers are editing out a lot of the good stuff, why not take out the things like the nose pick and the belch? Most of us are probably watching this programme whilst we are eating dinner and I just think that it's in poor taste to leave personal hygiene issues in the show. I don't know how Manu and Pete can actually eat some of the food presented to them after seeing what some of these people do during the cooking. Reminds me of the "Pasta Prima Vera" episode of Seinfeld ...... I like the scientists from WA but Andrew has a propensity to cut himself (lots) and watching Manu walk into the kitchen with Andrew holding his arm aloft covered in several band aids and knowing that he was going to be eating blood riddled food, oh no, I would have said something. I also know that anywhere that we eat out is probably prone to the same thing . It's just that it's not paraded in front of me. Just edit it out... Well, why not?

Yes, I think you're being too picky.

I have an aunt who is a clean freak and is always sick with a cold or something.  Another aunt... well, let's just say the "lived in look" is what she aims for when she's tidying for guests.  She and her family are never sick.  My belief, for my life and not a recommendation for anyone else, is that as long as I'm healthy my body can withstand a bit of nose-picking and grubbiness in the kitchen.  Not that I'm inviting it, mind you.  I'm just not paranoid about it.

When I lived overseas I used to frequent a Chinese restaurant that seemed to have a 99% Asian customer base and the place looked like it could do with a thorough scrub no matter when I visited.  I had some of the best and tastiest food I've ever eaten there and I never had any signs of illness or even queasy stomach.  I also used to visit a restaurant that featured "soul food" in the American South.  Another hole-in-the-wall complete with linoleum and scruffiness but the food was delicious.  Funnily enough, the moneyed crowd in the city's CBD lunched there and it was quite a gallery of famous faces.

Given the number of centuries that humanity has thrived on food prepared in the most basic and primitive kitchens, I doubt an Australian kitchen on TV is a threat.

Well Ni Hao, Eval... Xie, xie..... I actually am not paranoid about it, more a case of just not needing to see it. I came back last year from Beijing after living there for 3 years. I speak fluent Mandarin and I can tell you that I have seen it all in China. I have eaten in some very dodgy places but had no choice but to accept what I was served. I am not precious about it but I just believe that the bad habits should not be included in the show.. That's all... I was really actually being a little sarcastic with "too picky" comment.....

No worries Eval.. I got it...You should see the banter going on on the post titled "underbite"... I put post on there just for fun and Oh Boy!... has it been met with some judgement! Some people just don't have a sense of humour! The show is filled with people being nasty to eachother and then when we  get on the forum and do the same thing we get the "holier than thous" coming on to admonish us! They really need to just have a laugh. None of it is that serious!
