Spice Girls kaput: My Kitchen Rules week 2 recap

[[vid:ca:c3ced1f0-34ba-3209-ad4c-3147823eef18]]

There was drama aplenty during Week 2 of My Kitchen Rules. New South Wales's Spice Girls were eliminated, Queensland siblings Jake and Elle let themselves down with “pub food”, South Australian lovebirds Lisa and Stefano scraped in and sparks flew between Group 2's six new teams.

The love affair of dating couple Lisa, 41 – who has three children with her ex-husband - and her Italian boyfriend Stefano, 32, was on display in their instant restaurant Carnevale.“From one cougar to another, I can tell who wears the pants in your relationship,” joked Victorian Kerrie, 53, whose husband Craig, 52, set his sights on her when he was just eight.

Despite Lisa and Stefano's amorous energy, judge Pete Evans wasn't feeling the love in their bland White Bean and Eggplant Puree with Rosemary Flat Bread and overcooked Duck Breast on Polenta. Their Coconut Meringue saved their skins and with a total score of 52 they beat devastated Spice Girls Jessie and Biswa who left the show after only scoring 41.

Week 2's highlights? The Spice Girls compared another dish to poo (the puree) and Jessie added cinnamon to her long list of despised ingredients before inexplicably saying about the duck, “I would have preferred a bit more cinnamon. I know I don't like cinnamon.”

Group Two's first instant restaurant, Food Alley, in Melbourne, Victoria, was hosted by cheeky chappy cousins Sam, 26, and Chris, 24. They served up a clever but under flavoured Spinach and Ricotta Runny Egg Ravioli, inconsistently cooked Lamb Roulade and near perfect Coconut Creme Caramel, scoring 64.

Who will impress the judges next week? Will there be another fire in the kitchen? Will sparks fly between the South Australian team, domestic goddesses Jenna and Joanna, and WA team, mother and daughter, Lisa and Candice? Game on!

More free adverting for the typical BS 'reality show', aimed at the brain-dead Aussie TV audiences who are quite happy to sit in their own little worlds while their brains vegetate. All hype and no substance, almost as bad as that piece of garbage the started all these idiot shows off, that was the scripted and predictable load of rubbish, 'big brother'. Since then these moronic shows have become even worse. They are popular with network management because they cost the networks nothing to produce with the product sponsors paying for everything.

Television isn not about having a brain or being talented. It shows you can find 2 clods that are happy to make a spectale of themselves and they come in all sizes and flavors. Oh for the day when the airwaves are not clogged with horsecrap viewing like this.
