Brother and sister Jake and Elle came under fire in their Sunshine Coast, Queensland instant restaurant Costa del Sol.
After talking the fine dining talk for the first four episodes of My Kitchen Rules, they served up a main of T-bone Steak with Mushroom Ragu, Silverbeet, Radicchio and Potato and Parsnip Gratin that judge Pete Evans described as “meat and three veg” and “pub food”. Like Manu, he awarded it just 5 points.
Law and business student Elle, 22, and performance and dance student Jake, 20, set fire to a saucepan and had to remake parts of their starter and dessert. Despite some amusing bickering – “Calm ya farm,” Jake told a panicking Elle – they saved the dishes and proved they have what it takes to work under pressure.
Their entree of Rabbit, Pancetta and Thyme Ravioli won them two eights from the judges, while their dessert of Orange and Basil Syrup Cake with Basil Ice Cream, Candied Orange and Toffee Shard landed them two nines.
A total score of 65 placed them at the second bottom of the leaderboard, above Spice Girls Jessie and Biswa, who had launched a full on assault (“I taste it, I hate it,” said Jessie about the Ravioli) and scored Jake and Elle a measly 1.
The Spice Girls are on tenterhooks as they'll be leaving the show if South Australian romantics Lisa and Stefano score higher than them in the next episode.

nothing wrong with T-Bone or am i just a plain old queenslander?. did anyone notice that Jake was up at Bundaberg cooking for the flood victims at tent city in his own time? i thought it was a good gesture. i am pleased the "spice girls" got eliminated tonight. i thought "spiteful girls" was a better name for them.
ReplyWhat is wrong with a good T/B love it !!! and i will no longer whatch the show until the indian dogs are in it))) 2 moust un educated person ( dogs) i ever seen .
ReplyWhats the big deal with a T Bone steak, is it not accepted in a resturant any more or is too enjoyable for the clients to enjoy at there venue, sort of comment I would expect from the spice dags, Love a good T Bone Steak a least you can tuck into it and enjoy rather than some of the other rubbish being cooked up lately
Replyjessie and biswa are most certainly the most sorest spiteful people i have come across on the show...all they have done from the start is look and talk every1 else down and tell them all they were going to get everything perfect including scores...and to add to that the fact all of their dishes were over 2 hours late from what i remember and they had the hide to say "no more boring dinners" to ad to the put downs of the other teams... yet they have had one of the lowest ever scores in the shows history for what i cann remember...aside from the fact they seem to not like very much variety of food if anything at all that they dont cook i mean come on what else could they add to the list of i dont likes in regaurds to food.....and now lucky for the show and other teams their is only one more team to cook because after their score and negative feedback which they didnt like they are giving extremely ridiculous and sour scores of 1 means to me that they are just trying to make the others feel bad with their nasty comments and keep their scores low because they failed at their chance...i hope they dont survive the next round because they just are not nice people in my opinion
Reply#$%$ all those claiming they won't watch the show again until something happens or someone goes. You'll keep tuning in just to get hot under the collar, and the producers of the show will have planned it that way. You're part of their scheme, like it or not!
