Isla Fisher has broken her silence for the first time since she and Sacha Baron Cohen announced they have split up after 20 years together. The Aussie actress and British actor tied the knot in 2010 and last month announced they had "jointly filed to end our marriage" in 2023.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Isla shared a photo of herself in a sunny outdoor space, with the caption reading, "Thank you for all your kindness and support."

Isla and Sacha met at a party in Australia in 2001, got engaged in 2004, and have welcomed three children over the course of their relationship.

"After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage," they said in a joint Instagram statement on April 5.

"We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change," they added. "We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family’s wish for privacy."

It comes after Rebel Wilson shared shock allegations about Sacha's behaviour on the set of their film The Brothers Grimsby.

Interestingly, Isla is set to release a film this year called The Present, in which she stars alongside Greg Kinnear as parents on the verge of telling their three children they are separating. However, the children soon find an old clock that they received from their grandfather has the power to turn back time, which they attempt to use to prevent their parents from splitting up.

She is also set to return to the Now You See Me franchise after being unable to star in the second film as she was pregnant when they shot the film.
