Now in its ninth successful series, the questions are specifically designed to test the knowledge of late primary school children, aged between 10 & 12 years – with questions covering subjects such as English, Maths, Science, Geography, Sport, Music and Pop Culture.
Contestants have the chance to test their general knowledge and win prizes for themselves and their school. Host, Simon Reeve, leads the contestants through a maze of questions from the Year 6 syllabus. A winning school is announced at the end of each week for the first nine weeks of heats with subsequent semi-finalists. Eventually, one team will be the overall winning school for the series.

In respond to Mykkyy's comment, I'm not sure about it but my school's going on the show next year and I think in the Epping area because my school's in Epping - Eastwood zone. A few of my friends' schools have been on it too and they're in Epping - Eastwood zone as well.
Just watched your show (16th Nov), one answer regarding where Big Ben is, was given as London. This is incorrect. I realize that as a generalization London is semi correct, however the correct answer is the City of Westminster. The City of Westminster is of course in the Greater London Area. Bearing in mind this is a learning program I do feel the correct answers should be given.
